1. What The Ephemeris is — and what it is not

The Ephemeris computes astrological and related placements from birth details you provide, and Bob — an AI reader powered by third-party language models — writes an interpretation of them. The math is real and deterministic; the interpretation is exactly that: an interpretation.

The Ephemeris is provided for insight, reflection, and entertainment. It is not professional advice of any kind. Nothing in a reading is a substitute for a qualified professional. In particular, Bob does not — and is not able to — provide medical, mental-health, legal, financial, tax, or other professional advice, and nothing a reading says is a diagnosis, a prediction of a real-world outcome, or a recommendation about a decision you should make. If a question touches those domains, The Ephemeris describes chart mechanics only. For real decisions in those areas, consult a licensed professional.

2. Eligibility and your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to use The Ephemeris.
• During the founding beta, access is limited to invited members. You agree to keep your login credentials secure and are responsible for activity under your account.
• You agree to provide accurate information and not to impersonate anyone else. Birth details you enter for people other than yourself should be information you are entitled to use.

3. Beta service

The Ephemerisis offered during a founding beta. That means the service is under active development, may change or break, and is provided “as is.” Readings are instrumented so we can measure quality and set honest prices; the details of that logging are in the Privacy Policy, and your use during the beta is your consent to it.

4. Payments, founding membership, and refunds

• Founding members receive full access during the beta window at no charge. Paid plans, when you choose one, are billed through Stripe on the terms shown at checkout.
• The founding perk — 50% off the Bundle for the life of your membership — applies as described at signup and in your settings, for as long as you maintain an active founding subscription.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You can cancel at any time from your billing settings; cancellation stops future charges and takes effect at the end of the current paid period.
• Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable. We may change prices and plan features; material changes to an active plan will be communicated before they take effect.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use The Ephemeris for any unlawful purpose, or to harass, harm, or deceive anyone;
• represent a reading as professional advice, a factual prediction, or a diagnosis to any third party;
• attempt to breach, probe, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the service, or circumvent the access gate or usage limits;
• resell or redistribute the service or its outputs as your own product.

6. Your content and the outputs

You keep ownership of the birth details and context you enter. You grant us the limited license needed to operate the service — to process that input, compute placements, generate your reading, and store your readings in your account. Subject to these Terms, the readings generated for you are yours to use for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.

7. Disclaimers

The Ephemerisis provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any reading is accurate, complete, or suitable for any decision. Astrological and related systems are not scientifically established methods of prediction, and you use the insights at your own discretion.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mildred Mae LLC and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any decision you make based on a reading. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or US $50.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Mildred Mae LLCfrom claims arising out of your misuse of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of anyone else's rights.

10. Termination

You may stop using The Ephemeris and delete your account at any time from your settings. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the service. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law) survive.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes, we'll update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use The Ephemeris after a change means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located there, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
