What it is. Numerology compresses your full birth name and your birth date into a handful of numbers by plain arithmetic. No sky, no birth time, no birthplace.
The parts. The LIFE PATH (from your birth date) is the headline — the arc of your life. The DESTINY or EXPRESSION number (from all the letters of your name) is what you're built to do. SOUL URGE (the vowels) is what you want underneath; PERSONALITY (the consonants) is how people first read you. The PERSONAL YEAR cycles 1 to 9 and colors the current year. Master numbers 11, 22 and 33 are kept whole.
How to read it. Life Path first, then whether Destiny agrees with it. Soul Urge against Personality shows the inside/outside gap. The Personal Year is this year's weather.
The core positions
Where a number sits is which part of you it describes. Life Path and Destiny are the two big ones; Soul Urge and Personality are the inside and the outside; the Personal Year is timing.

- Birthdaythe day of the month

- Personal Yearbirth month + day + the year in focus
- Personal Year describes the symbolic themes of the year in focus. This calculator can preserve master numbers 11, 22 and 33 instead of reducing every result to 1–9. The year used is the explicit date in focus, or the frozen reference year if none was supplied.
- Challenge numbersfour of them, from the birth date
- Life-stage terrain — the lesson each phase of life asks you to work on (0 = no specific challenge).
- Karmic debt13, 14, 16, 19 before reducing
- A traditional numerology label for 13, 14, 16 or 19 before reduction, often used as a theme for reflection. Its presence or absence does not establish wrongdoing, moral worth or a debt to repay.
The numbers
Numerology gives symbolic meanings to the core numbers 1–9 and keeps master numbers 11, 22 and 33 whole under this calculation convention. The position says which part of you a number describes. A name-based sum can return a literal zero; it is preserved without assigning it a new meaning.
